We encourage parents to apply well in advance, especially for Year 7. Applications are placed on our waitlist and are progressed subject to the date of application. NBCS Primary students have an automatic place in Year 7 subject to a Year 7 Commitment Deposit.

We invite you to complete and submit the online Enrolment Application Form. Please note that this includes payment of the non-refundable Enrolment Application fee of $350.

Before you begin, you will need copies of your child’s birth certificate and passport, or evidence of Australian citizenship/visa documentation, and your child’s school reference contact details.

Upon receiving your application form, we will send a confirmation that your application has been successfully lodged and we will add your child’s name to the waitlist for the relevant year.

Application does not guarantee the opportunity for an interview or that your child will be enrolled at NBCS. We will endeavour to keep you updated on the status of your application and will also keep you connected with what is happening in our school community.

Prior to your desired year of entry, we begin contacting families on the waitlist to gather further information. If you wish to proceed with your application, you will be sent the Pre-Interview Questionnaire to complete. You will need to return the completed form by the date specified, including copies of your child’s two most recent school reports, NAPLAN, and any other relevant specialist reports or individual learning plans.

For Year 7, the enrolment process begins two years prior to the desired year of entry and for all other year groups, it begins one year prior.

Once we receive the requested information, we will select students to participate in an interview, based on our enrolment criteria and the order in which applications were received.

Should your child be successful in reaching the interview stage, we will invite you to attend an interview with your child. Please note that an interview does not guarantee an offer of a place.

Following the interview, if your child has been successful, you will receive a Letter of Offer along with the Enrolment Acceptance Form to complete.

To accept the offer, you are required to sign the enrolment contract and pay the non-refundable Enrolment Fee and Bond. If enrolling in Year 7, you will also be required to pay a Year 7 Commitment Deposit. These fees must be paid before the expiry date of the offer to confirm acceptance. Fees are non-refundable should your child not start at NBCS after your confirmed acceptance.

Fees at Northern Beaches Christian School are set by the Board annually. Fees consist of two parts: Tuition Fees and Ancillary Charges. Tuition fees vary depending on the year level, with discounted fees applying to families with three or more children concurrently enrolled.

These are billed at the commencement of each Term.

Tuition Fees are levied equally over Terms 1-4 for Kindergarten to Year 11, and equally over Terms 1-3 for Year 12. Fees include most camps and non-elective sport activities.

Parents have the option of paying Tuition Fees via 10 equal monthly instalments.

Our preferred method of payment is BPAY. 

BPAY allows payments to be made from a cheque or savings account, as well as from credit card accounts. However, some financial institutions treat credit card BPAY payments as ‘cash advances’ with the possibility that interest charges accrue immediately.

If you are wanting to use your credit card for the monthly instalments option detailed below, please check with your financial institution if your payments will be treated as cash advances.

For this option, Tuition Fees are paid via 10 equal monthly instalments over the period February to November. These payments must be scheduled by the payer (you) using your financial institution’s BPAY interface.

Note that monthly instalments must be received by the 17th day of each month, February to November.

Eligibility to use the 10 monthly instalment plan requires all previous fees to have been paid in full.

If you are eligible to pay your Tuition fees using the 10 monthly instalments plan, your first instalment must be received via BPay on or before the 17th of February.

For administrative reasons, NBCS will not be able to provide access to the 10 monthly instalment plan after the 17th of February.

How to pay Ancillary Charges via BPAY

As noted above, the BPAY reference for TUITION fees is a 7 digit number which is different to the BPAY reference for ANCILLARY charges, which is a 9 digit number. We have LINKED HERE fee statement samples to assist you with this.

Parents are reminded that fees are payable in accordance with our payment terms. In line with the Enrolment Policy, overdue accounts will be followed up and may ultimately be transferred to a collection agency unless an alternate payment arrangement is agreed to with the Finance Department.

Students may be ineligible for optional/co-curricular programs when Tuition Fees and/or Ancillary Charges are in arrears.

Furthermore, should an account be in default, the school reserves the right to charge interest on so much of the debt as shall be outstanding, at the rate prescribed by the Supreme Court Rules from time to time calculated from the due date until the date of payment. Such interest shall be deemed to accrue daily and shall be recoverable in an action of law.

A $1,000 Enrolment Acceptance Fee (non-refundable), and a Bond of $1,500 for each student, is payable upon enrolment.

A non-refundable Year 7 Commitment Deposit of $3,500, which is applied to Year 7 Term 1 Tuition Fees, is required to secure Year 7 places. This is payable as requested. The Commitment Deposit is not refundable if the enrolment does not proceed.

If your child will not be continuing their education at NBCS, one full term’s notice must be provided IN WRITING using the form available on the NBCS website LINKED HERE. Until this form is completed, notice is not deemed to have been provided to the school.

Should one full term’s notice not be provided in the required manner, a term’s Tuition fees will be charged in lieu of sufficient notice having been given.

Parents are required to notify the School Office of any changes of name or address, and to ensure the School Office has a record of current contact information, including active telephone numbers and email addresses. Change of details should be submitted through the Portal LINKED HERE.
