The strength of small group learning
Learning in small groups is an effective way to consolidate concepts and develop positive learning habits.
Rotation groups are used to support explicitly taught concepts. This model is highly effective because it allows students to be grouped based on their individual learning needs.
The low student to teacher ratio ensures that each child is well-known and well-taught. Small group activities promote healthy and positive relationships and collaboration between peers.

Getting literacy right
We use a multisensory phonics and spelling program to teach the fundamentals of reading, spelling and writing to students in Kindergarten.
Our students develop a solid foundation of letter and sound knowledge through daily direct, structured, systematic instruction that uses visual, auditory and kinesthetic-tactile pathways to enhance memory.
Children develop a love of reading and literature through modelled, guided reading of rich texts.

Curriculum
Key learning areas in Primary include English, Mathematics, PDHPE, HSIE, Science & Technology, Music and French, following the NESA Curriculum. Kindergarten students also attend weekly Infants Chapel and Christian studies lessons.
We ensure content delivered by class teachers is explicit. Specialist teachers of PDHPE, Music, CAPA and French provide a depth and richness to learning.
